Single Pie Crust (10% Larger)
Ingredients
- 174 g AP flour
- 1/2 tsp salt (try 1/4 tsp)
- 1/2 [heaping] tsp sugar (optional)
- 4.5 TBSP butter, cold* (if using all butter, you’ll need 8.5 TBSP total)
- 56 g shortening, cold
- 1/2 cup refrigerated water, or cold tap water with ice cubes in it
Directions
- Portion shortening into little blobs and place into the freezer for at least 30 minutes.
- Cut butter into cubes.
- Whisk together the flour, salt, (and sugar if using).
