Sweet Cornbread


  • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 1/2 (heaping) cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 can creamed corn


  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Combine the (5) dry ingredients.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together a beaten egg, vegetable oil, melted butter, and creamed corn. Stir in dry ingredients until combined.
  4. Pour mixture into a greased 2-quart casserole dish. Bake at 325 for 20-25 minutes.
