Sweet Cornbread
- 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornmeal
- 1/2 (heaping) cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 tablespoons butter (melted)
- 1 egg
- 1 can creamed corn
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- Combine the (5) dry ingredients.
- In a separate bowl, mix together a beaten egg, vegetable oil, melted butter, and creamed corn. Stir in dry ingredients until combined.
- Pour mixture into a greased 2-quart casserole dish. Bake at 325 for 20-25 minutes.
