Vanilla Extract

750 ml bottle of vodka (that's a fifth :D)

16 Bourbon Vanilla Beans

Wash your beans and then split them down the middle, leaving the tops and the bottoms closed.

Toss beans into the vodka bottle.

Stick the bottle in a paper bag and store it in a dark place.

Shake the bottle every few days.

The vanilla extract will be ready to use in eight weeks, at the earliest. The longer it sets, the better the flavor.

It's a beautiful thing.
